How will this role have an impact?

We are looking for a Data Governance Analyst to join an existing team as we expand our data governance program.  Signify Health works closely with our stakeholders to improve how we collectively use data to improve health care.  In this new role, the Data Governance Analyst will work directly with senior leaders across the organization as well as an established team within the Chief Data Officer organization to roll out the data governance program.

This role will report to the Manager, Data Governance and Tools

What will you do?

  • Review existing data governance-related content (policies, data strategies), plan and facilitate meetings to discuss, and work with Governance, risk, and Compliance organizations to manage documents through signoffs.
  • Develop and review data governance related content (text and graphics), covering policies, communications, training.
  • Work with senior leaders (program leads, product leaders, Chief Data Officer, VP Data Governance and Data Quality, Legal, Security, etc.) to collect data needs and build/ update data governance strategy and processes.
  • Assist in maintaining data catalog. Assist in developing and delivering related communications and support.
  • Support compliance with data protection laws and regulations (HIPAA, PHI) and industry standards. Contribute to audits (HITRUST, SOX, and SOC 2) and assessments as required.
  • Work with data stakeholders across the organization to gather and document requirements, track feedback, and plan responses.
  • Work with data stakeholders to implement data governance roles and processes.
  • Collect, track, and report on metrics associated with data governance activities.
  • Champion the use of data governance technologies.


Who are you?

  • Finished Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration).
  • At least 8 years of experience in working in data quality, data catalog (Alation or similar), master/ primary data, data modeling, data integration, ETL, data migration, analytics, or similar.
  • Experience with healthcare data (claims-related, clinical, members) is preferred.
  • Experience in communicating (written and oral) with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience in planning, facilitating, and following up from meetings.
  • Eager to work with both people and data.
