We're looking for a Senior Manager with strong technical and leadership skills to lead our Performance Marketing Data Science team. I
In this role, you will:
- Partner with one of Atlassian's most data driven teams to measure performance and identify opportunities within Paid Advertising, Content Marketing & Email.
- Apply creative analytical problem solving skills to a wide variety of questions to deepen our understanding of marketing channel effectiveness.
- Work cross functionally with Data Engineering, Machine Learning and Operations teams to bring data to the forefront of marketing decision making.
- Build and lead a high performing team of data scientists (team of 5 today with significant growth planned).
On the first day, we'll expect you to have:
- 6 + years of experience in analytics or closely related fields
- 2 + years of experience managing teams
- A passion for building analytics frameworks to measure new and open ended business strategies
- Experience with marketing measurement techniques including channel attribution, lifetime value/mROI and incrementality testing.
- A proven track record for crafting raw data and analysis into well-written and persuasive content
- The ability to prioritize your time wisely against multiple competing projects and requests
- Comfort with structuring and coaching others to work through open-ended business questions through analytics
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods as needed
It's great, but not required, if you have:
- Experience with at least one analytics & visualization tool such as Tableau, Looker, Mode, Plotly, etc.
- Experience with scripting and analysis languages (Python, R)
- Familiarity with statistics and probability
