You will support various business initiatives such as external reporting, internal analysis, user forecasting and tracking of financial key metrics. The result will be the facilitation of more informed and strategic decisions for various partners throughout the Spotify organization.

You will work alongside a hardworking group of Data Engineers & Scientists, Product Managers & Engineering Managers, and Finance business partners to build a product portfolio that offers the objective source of truth to the company. You will additionally have the opportunity to develop your mentoring skills by supporting and mentoring peers.

Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music!

What you’ll do

    • Work closely with skilled data engineers, data scientists and PMs to set the vision, strategy, roadmap and prioritization for the team
    • Communicate and interact with partners across the organization to understand and synthesize their data needs and collaborate on the short- and long-term goals of the business
    • Make sure that your team is constantly doing the right things, and has a healthy balance of innovation, reducing technical debt, and providing maintenance and support
    • Work to define metrics and KPI’s for your team to measure how these improve over time
    • Together with the Engineering Manager, make sure that your team is strong and healthy - including capabilities, happiness, resilience and growth

Who you are

    • Self-motivated and have a strong focus on delivery of user value
    • Have experience working with product development in a Product Manager role or similar, in high performing, cross-functional teams
    • Experience from thinking about “data as a product”
    • Interested in how products work “under the hood” and are comfortable collaborating and discussing technical approaches and challenges with engineers
    • Driven to get stuff done, but with a collaborative approach. “You don’t win unless your team wins”
    • Learn quickly and can digest and triangulate multiple sources of information
    • Able to build and communicate a vision, and transpose into a strategy for the team
    • Interested in mentoring and supporting more junior colleagues and team members
    • An excellent communicator in English, whether it be in words or in writing
    • 5+ years of relevant work experience
