The Senior Business Analyst is a critical role that will implement cloud-based big data analytic solutions for MedeAnalytics’s health care payer and provider clients.
This individual will be responsible for understanding external Client’s technical and business objectives to ensure a successful implementation of MedeAnalytic’s solutions. This individual will collaborate with project managers, fellow analysts, engineers, testing team members as well as support analysts as needed to fully understand business and technical requirements. The project size/complexity can range from 3-12 months duration.
To be successful in this role this candidate will need to be experienced in a client facing role with a consultative and analytical background. Health plan and SaaS experience is strongly desired, as well as strong problem solving skills. In addition, individuals in this role are expected to display core competencies such as professional verbal and written communication skills, customer facing acumen and to successfully function as a member of a wider team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to client inquiries in a professional manner.
- Conduct client-facing meetings to understand, gather and document detailed client business requirements for health plan business intelligence (BI) / analytic applications
- Build collaborative partnerships with internal and external project stakeholders.
- Manage work effort deadlines and communicate status to the project manager and project team members accordingly.
- Perform implementation planning and setup activites for projects. Ensure all project and implementation related documents are up to date.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the standard client use cases for MedeAnalytics products and apply that knowledge to client-specific requirements, providing consultative support to guide the client through requests and business process needs to achieve their business objectives.
- Deliver projects within the defined scope and timeline according to MedeAnalytic’s governance and project management framework.
- Conduct through investigations of issues. Create high quality tickets with thorough and in-depth acceptance criteria.
- Plan and facilitate requirement review meetings with various levels of internal and external stakeholders as needed. Collaborate with engineering and testing team to coordinate the completion of ticket requests and execution of deliverables to achieve high client satisfaction KPIs. Understand and leverage escalation paths as needed.
- Document and disseminate both internal documentation as well as client-facing and business-appropriate reference materials that reflect the detailed configuration of client-specific MedeAnalytics solutions.

Education, Experience, and Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 5 years client-facing consulting, Business Analyst or Client Service experience; SaaS experience strongly preferred

- Experience with JIRA or other ticket based tracking systems
- A track record of successful implementation projects.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare industry and knowledge of health care terminology e.g. ACGs, diagnosis, procedure codes, accounts, transactions, claims, etc. In depth experience with healthcare data sets and/or provider network systems.
- Excellent oral and written skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working with health care data and/or healthcare software, preferably in a health plan, provider or health plan setting, with a consulting firm, or a software vendor
- Skilled in Microsoft Suite of applications (Excel, Word, powerpoint, Sharepoint, Teams, etc)
