This Role
Brightwheel is seeking a talented business analyst to join our Analytics team and analyze, investigate, and generate insights throughout the business. This role will empower the organization by uncovering strategic insights, and automating and refining reporting and dashboards to make data-driven decisions. The ideal candidate has a passion for data, analysis, and a desire to get to the ‘whys’ behind the numbers. You’ll deliver ongoing insights to the business while gaining invaluable experience in a position with significant responsibility and interaction with business partners.

What You'll Do

    • Metrics: Develop and maintain consistent, accurate operational metrics to track the performance of internal teams, including ongoing support/analysis on performance against company key results
    • Dashboard: Use SQL to build and update dashboards (Tableau) that drive business decisions across different functions such as Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering stakeholders 
    • Analysis: Conduct analysis and share data-driven insights by synthesizing the impact of initiatives led by project teams
    • Data Governance: Ensure ongoing data integrity by building single source of truth data documentation and identifying opportunities to improve backend data structure, partnering closely with data engineering and operations teams
    • Stakeholder Management: Partner with stakeholders across the company (sales, marketing, customer success, product, ops, finance) to intake analytics projects, gather requirements, and create project plans; support with ongoing project management.

Minimum Requirements

    • Analytical mindset with demonstrated ability to work through complex, ambiguous problems using data
    • Strong technical proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Tableau
    • Minimum 3+ years of work experience in analytics, finance, management consulting, or other quantitative role
    • Strong desire to learn - high level of intellectual curiosity and an eagerness to dive into new problems and domains
    • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders
    • Strong communication skills: ability to effectively communicate technical information to a variety of audiences
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently across multiple projects and systems in a fast-paced team environment with time pressures

Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of B2B SaaS funnel metrics, including modeling and analyzing metrics such as customer acquisition, activation, conversion, and retention
    • Experience with DBT and Git would be a plus
