About the Role:

We are looking for a BI Engineer II to build and expand our workforce management (WFM) product suite.This is a critical area of functionality that is necessary for the world’s largest brands to run contact center operations at scale. The role will source data from multiple locations, specifically Live Person’s Data APIs, and will transform data into scalable feeds that integrate into standard WFM platforms. The result is that brands will have the data they need to staff and contact centers around messaging and AI, just like they do today for voice and chat. 

 In this role you will:

• Develop a deep understanding of Live Person’s data API architecture and data mappings.
• Leverage Python to transform data from Live Person’s APIs into fit-for-purpose operations feeds.
• Contribute to and extend Live Person’s primary data delivery tool, Data Transporter
• Work cross-functionally across engineering, product, and business teams to understand how business requirements can best be met.
• Extend Live Person’s WFM product suite in a way that supports conversational commerce, leveraging data from messaging, AI, and intent, and data science spaces.
• Assist our engineers in designing a data architecture that supports speed and innovation in development.
• Work with innovative technologies incorporating AI, machine learning and conversational interfaces.

 Your qualifications are:

• Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages, specifically Python
• Experience with Python packages for analytics, data science, and machine learning
• 3+ years of experience in a Backend Engineer role working with databases, SQL
• 3+ years of experience working with containerized applications
• 2+ years of experience in public cloud
• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or another quantitative field.
• Experience using the following software/tools:
• Code repository and deployment pipelines - GIT and Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet
• Relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring as well as working familiarity with a broad range of databases.
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with teammates in a highly collaborative environment and simultaneously be a self-starter with strong individual contributions.
