About The Role

We’re looking for a highly motivated Data Collection Specialist to help support our Sales, Marketing, Data, and Product teams. You’ll be tasked with a wide range of projects - big, small, and sometimes mundane - whatever it takes to make our product better and keep customers happy. 

During the 1st Month: 

• Learn the site, study the industry, and learn about our competitors
• Begin familiarizing yourself with data sources,  data collection processes, and publication policies
• Shadow your colleagues to learn how data is utilized at Niche
• Attend all meetings pertaining to data collection projects
• Assist the Product, Sales, Marketing and Data teams in day to day operations. Tasks include data entry, checking data for accuracy, searching on Google, verifying data on school websites and local government websites

Within 6 Months:

• Display expert knowledge of data sources, data collection processes, and publication policies
• Provide feedback on data collection processes and propose enhancements that increase efficiency and ease in data projects
• Assist with updating and creating new documentation for Customer Success pertaining to data projects

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in any field or working towards a degree
• Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, or a similar spreadsheet tool
• Must be internet savvy. Your ability to research and find particular data points or a particular contact through creative searching is critical
• Must be an excellent communicator who is good with grammar and spelling
• Able to balance being very attentive to detail while also working quickly
