Job Description
This individual contributor position is located on the Aetna Mental Wellbeing – Performance Excellence team and is responsible for in-depth technical development of analytics solutions. This position will work in collaboration with business leaders, stakeholders, and analysts to develop data driven solutions that inform opportunities to improve the mental wellbeing of the customers we serve.

This is a technical position that will involve gathering requirements, preparing documentation, combining data from multiple sources, and producing customer-facing analytics results.

– Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements.
– Prepares documentation such as process diagrams, data dictionaries, file specifications, ERDs, wireframes, and pseudocode.
– Makes recommendations about data management processes, metric definitions, and evaluation methods.
– Performs analyses in a relational database environment, including development of SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
– Develops customer-facing dashboards by modeling and aggregating data from multiple databases, source systems, and servers.
– Performs extensive verification and validation testing to ensure results meet functional requirements and stakeholder needs.
– Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple projects concurrently.
– Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to nontechnical clients in written and verbal form.
– Responsible for project commitments to quality and on-time deliverables.
– Designs and conducts analyses using healthcare claims and services data.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 70,000
Maximum: 140,000

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Required Qualifications
– 5+ years of analytics experience with advanced SQL programming ability in a data warehouse or big data analytics environment (CTEs, subqueries, windowed aggregations, stored procedures, etc.).
– Experience preparing and combining data from multiple sources (SAS, SSIS, Alteryx, etc.) or equivalent tools.
– 3+ years of experience building efficient, high quality, integrated and increasingly real-time ETL/ELT processes using tools, programming languages and services (SSIS etc.).
– Understanding of user-centered design principles.
– Well-versed in data modeling concepts (dimensional/fact, cardinality, normalization, etc.).
– Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability.
– Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams.

Preferred Qualifications
– Experience conducting analysis and working with healthcare claims and services data.
– Experience developing and publishing dashboards/reports with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) or equivalent tools.
-Experience in GCP Cloud services such as Big Query, Composer, Airflow, DataProc.

Education
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
