As a Senior Data Scientist / Data Engineer within CVS Health, you will:
• Bring a product centric mindset to drive enterprise-wide solutions, side by side with cross functional teams
• Work in a fast-paced service-oriented environment; interacting directly with a wide portfolio of clients on solution design, product enhancements ideas and new features for future product releases
• Bring experience in guiding technical and non-technical teams and consultants in best practices for large-scale data engineering
• Deploy models in production environment, apply Quality Assurance principals
• Understand parallel computing and pipeline process automation (for example scheduler, airflow)
• Demonstrate fluency with storage, manipulation, and management of relational, non-relational and streaming data structures, specifically SQL, Spark, Teradata and Hadoop
• Advanced knowledge in cloud infrastructure | GCP, AWS, Azure
• Develop algorithms and statistical predictive models and determine analytical approaches to evaluate scenarios and potential future outcomes
• Perform analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve multiple and/or complex business problems utilizing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses and broad knowledge of the organization and/or industry
• Collaborate with business partners to understand their problems and goals, develop predictive modeling, statistical analysis, data reports and performance metrics.
• Use strong knowledge in Data Science and Data Engineering to investigate problems, detect patterns and recommend solutions
• Use strong programming skills to explore, examine and interpret large volumes of data in various forms

Preference is for this employee to work in a hybrid model being onsite 2 days a week or 3 days every other week (subject to change) in one of our Analytics Hubs (Chicago, IL OR Wellesley (Boston), MA), however full-time, work from home will be considered for the right candidate.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 90,000
Maximum: 180,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
• 3+ years’ experience working as a Data Scientist or Data Engineer
• Experience programming using Python
• Experience working with Healthcare Data

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in Data Engineering, working with large teams and remote agile squads
• Experience working with Platform teams. Understanding of data governance, data architecture, user interface.
• Ability to synthesize information from disparate data sources, evaluating suitability of data sources for specific use case.
• Experience leading analysis and initiatives with a track record of business impact.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to business partners.

Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline.
Master’s degree or PhD preferred
