Job Description

The Enterprise Customer Experience (CX) Data Engineering Manager will play a critical role in helping CVS Health to achieve this goal. As we look to deliver enhanced value and improved health outcomes for consumers, this role will be pivotal to igniting a customer centric culture. The ideal individual for this role should be comfortable working under minimum supervision and will drive the data engineering and development solutions that are consistent with enterprise standards. Interface with upstream system architects, developers, and program managers to resolve data issues and drive the acquisition of the data needed by business customers. This individual will work collaboratively across CVS and Aetna’s business domains to build, maintain, and optimize our CX data sources and survey process. As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for the governance, strategy, and ownership of the Enterprise CX Team’s data assets, pipelines, and delivery points.

This role will have the following core responsibilities:
1. Develop large-scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data that help generate insights and address reporting needs
2. Write ETL/ELT (Extract / Transform / Load) processes, design database systems, maintained structures, and develops tools for real-time and offline analytic processing
3. Build & automate data pipelines, apply data transformation, and integrate key business logic
4. Uses programming skills in Python, SQL or any of the major languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems
5. Build invitation lists and targeting algorithms to support various surveys throughout the enterprise in Hadoop, Teradata, and GCP
6. Integrates data from a variety of sources, assuring that they adhere to data quality and accessibility standards
7. Maintain legacy applications and contribute to the development of new applications utilizing various technologies – including, but not limited to: GCP, Snowflake and Hadoop
8. Ownership over a few of our survey process and critical reporting tables
9. Serve as subject matter expert and point of contact on content, processes, procedures, and functionality associated with HCB survey
10. Work with a large cross-functional team, including multiple digital scrum teams, IT project, legal and other partners, to developing solutions
11. Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities as well as exceptional customer service orientation 
12. A responsibility to continue to identify and institute scalable process enhancements / tools for greater efficiency of recurring processes
13. Maintain documentation of pipelines and process for business owners

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 60,300
Maximum: 130,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
-5+ years of programming experience using SQL or equivalent to manage large datasets complex data systems such as data lakes, Hadoop and other platforms such as GCP or Azure.

-5+ years of experience demonstrating the ability to work independently, think critically, and manage multiple priories with various dependencies and timelines.

-5+ years of experience using and managing tasks and projects via project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Rally, JIRA, Asana, or MS Project.

-4+ year experience documenting database and pipelines with Erwin, ER/Studios, Visio, or other modeling software.

-5+ experience throughout the SDLC from writing user stories to UAT testing.

-3+ Years maintaining documentation of pipelines and process for business owners

Preferred Qualifications
-2+ years of experience working with structured data along with emerging insights technologies such as machine learning, social listening, text analytics, etc.

-5+ year supporting data or solution architect to meet enterprise and team goals.

-2+ years of experience working with and synthesizing data for implications to drive change/influence the customer experience

-2+ years of experience interpreting statistical analysis to tell data driven stories

-2+ years identifying and instituting scalable process enhancements / tools for greater efficiency of recurring processes

1. Programming experience (R, Python, SAS, SPSS, etc.) and familiarity handling large datasets is a plus, but is not required.
2. Experience working in Health Insurance or Customer experience team
3. A desire to learn and improve, keep up with industry trends, and strategically drive the team to best practices
4. Familiarity of unstructured data
5. Experience with business intelligence tools, i.e. Tableau, PowerBI, ect.
6. Experience with survey data, understand the key concepts in survey design, stratification, bias, implementation, ect.

Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
