Over the next three years, our goal is to transform the 268 billion analogue phone calls between a brand and it’s consumers to digital on the LiveEngage platform. By doing this, we enable consumers to get back time and experience a more connected relationship with the brand in which sales, service, marketing, branches, stores, and contact centre’s become a unified experience.
We are looking for a Data Engineer II to expand our Analytics Product Offerings, and play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations for underlying infrastructure. This is a critical area of functionality that enables the world’s largest brands to run contact center operations at scale, while focusing on quality. The role will source data from multiple locations, specifically LivePerson’s Data APIs and Databases, and will transform data into scalable feeds that integrate into products and other downstream systems. The result is that brands will have the data and insights they need to drive messaging and automation at scale.
In this role you will:
- Develop a deep understanding of LivePerson’s data API architecture and data mappings.
- Leverage Python to transform data from LivePerson’s APIs into fit-for-purpose operations feeds.
- Contribute to and extend LivePerson’s primary data delivery tool, Data Transporter
- Work cross-functionally across engineering, product, and business teams to understand how business requirements can best be met.
- Build the data models that support LP’s analytics tools in delivering recommendations to brands
- Assist our engineers in designing a data architecture that supports speed and innovation in development.
- Work with innovative technologies incorporating AI, machine learning and conversational interfaces.
Your qualifications are:
- Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or another quantitative field or 5+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency with one or more programming languages (3+ years with Python highly preferred)
- Understanding of OOP and Functional Programming paradigms
- Experience with Python packages for analytics, data science, and machine learning (e.g. Pandas)
- 3+ years of experience in a Backend Engineer role working with Relational Databases
- Advanced Proficiency with SQL
- Experience working with containerized applications is beneficial (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience in public cloud (especially GCP) is beneficial
- Experience with Git
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with teammates in a highly collaborative environment and simultaneously be a self-starter with strong individual contributions.
