The company designed a modern resale experience that took the work and risk out of thrift, and converted a generation of secondhand skeptics to fans. Sellers send clothes directly to thredUP by the bagful, and buyers shop quality-checked items from over 35,000 brands at steep discounts. About our Internship Program
As a thredUP summer intern, you will be given a firsthand glimpse at what it’s like to work at the world’s largest fashion resale platform. During the 12 week program, you will tackle projects alongside our world-class team, with the opportunity to make a real impact on thredUP’s business.
Our paid internships are ideal for ambitious students or recent grads who thrive in ambiguity, like a good challenge, and want a jump start on their career development. Oh, and who want to help inspire a new generation of consumers to think secondhand first.
About the Internship
As an intern on our Data Engineering team, you will work alongside thredUP's data warehouse and built data driven products. You will get an opportunity to work on varied data sets. You will work on projects in our production environment that have a direct impact on the business. You have at least 3 years of experience in software development in SQL and Python, relevant coursework in Big Data Technologies and Business Analytics, and are enrolled in a Master's program in Computer Science/MIS. Hands-on experience building data processing pipelines in Apache Spark is a plus. You possess strong data analysis skills and are eager to learn and push boundaries during the internship this summer.
