How You Will Make An Impact
As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to making warehouse operations more efficient and intelligent. You will work closely with Operations Engineers and Machine Learning Engineers to take Machine Learning to production for decision automation in the Operations Process Flow. You will have an opportunity to report directly to the SVP of Engineering Operations as you help develop and scale thredUP’s systems.
In This Role You'll Get To:
- Partner with Machine Learning and Engineering to integrate ML models into thredUP systems
- Help build out ML Operations for research and development within the team
- Work with teams to integrate ML models into production software
- Build and maintain microservices around ML models
- Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams
What We're Looking For:
- Strong background in data structures, algorithms, data modeling and software architecture
- 4+ years of hands-on experience writing robust code in Python, Unix, SQL, Ruby & Rails
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn)
- 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS)
- 2+ years hands-on experience working with Kubernetes and Docker
- Analytical mind and business acumen
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
