How You'll Make An Impact:
The Sr. Business System Analyst will work with the Director of Enterprise Apps and Data Integration to build full-proof data artifacts for thredUP’s Finance and Accounting teams. Acting as a technical liaison between Engineering and Finance & Accounting, the Sr. Business System Analyst will leverage program management skills, data quality analysis and application integration experience to create and improve business workflows.

In This Role You'll Get To:

    • Manage multiple project workflows with internal engineering teams and external vendors 
    • Act as project lead for the build of a new internal financial accounting hub 
    • Gain an understanding of thredUP's transaction data footprints, identifying gaps and creating specs to better create data models
    • Create data marts, models and reports around financial data 
    • Participate in data modeling exercises to develop new models in transaction system
    • Create finance KPIs and dashboards to support the FP&A team
    • Closely work with the Accounting team to understand month close processes; generate ideas to improve the current process and data flow
    • Improve and document process and data workflows across various applications that contribute to financial statements

What We're Looking For:

    • High proficiency in Excel/Google sheets
    • Expertise in communicating with internal and external stakeholders
    • 4+ years of experience managing projects in an Agile environment or as a business analyst
    • Proficiency in business process and workflow documentation
    • 2+ years of experience in data modeling for transactional systems and data warehouses
    • Experience working with SQL in a business setting
    • 2+ years of experience partnering with Finance and Accounting teams
    • Knowledge of ERP systems as they relate to Finance and Accounting
    • Familiarity with BI tools used to create reports and dashboards
