How You'll Make An Impact:
The Sr. Business System Analyst will work with the Director of Enterprise Apps and Data Integration to build full-proof data artifacts for thredUP’s Finance and Accounting teams. Acting as a technical liaison between Engineering and Finance & Accounting, the Sr. Business System Analyst will leverage program management skills, data quality analysis and application integration experience to create and improve business workflows.
In This Role You'll Get To:
- Manage multiple project workflows with internal engineering teams and external vendors
- Act as project lead for the build of a new internal financial accounting hub
- Gain an understanding of thredUP's transaction data footprints, identifying gaps and creating specs to better create data models
- Create data marts, models and reports around financial data
- Participate in data modeling exercises to develop new models in transaction system
- Create finance KPIs and dashboards to support the FP&A team
- Closely work with the Accounting team to understand month close processes; generate ideas to improve the current process and data flow
- Improve and document process and data workflows across various applications that contribute to financial statements
What We're Looking For:
- High proficiency in Excel/Google sheets
- Expertise in communicating with internal and external stakeholders
- 4+ years of experience managing projects in an Agile environment or as a business analyst
- Proficiency in business process and workflow documentation
- 2+ years of experience in data modeling for transactional systems and data warehouses
- Experience working with SQL in a business setting
- 2+ years of experience partnering with Finance and Accounting teams
- Knowledge of ERP systems as they relate to Finance and Accounting
- Familiarity with BI tools used to create reports and dashboards
