Definitive Logic is currently seeking an experienced Data Integration Engineer to assist our team in helping our clients drive business value from their data assets.

· Be a leader in our high performing team that designs, develops, and implements data-centric solutions and applications using the latest tools, technologies, and techniques.

· Help our customers enhance their analytic capabilities and the way they integrate, manage, and use their data by creating modern data architectures and applications.

· Operate as a trusted advisor that helps the Technology Solutions Practice and its customers achieve their goals. 

Responsibilities

• Support the software architectural process for the application modernization of a mainframe application to a N-Tier architecture hosted in the AWS GovCloud
• Perform data analysis of input, internal, and output message data
• Design, build and maintain interfaces between different messaging structures and related applications
• Lead the testing of database migrations, including the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process
• Utilize unit/integration testing experience to prepare test procedures and performance specifications
• Record, track, and report integration performance and software quality metrics
• Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and assist with producing documentation (i.e. develop/maintain ICDs) for O&M support personnel, and end-users
• Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth
• Ensure high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design
• Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, and deployment
• Create modern front-end and reliable APIs
• Collaborate across time zones via MS Teams, Zoom, Git/Azure DevOps comments, documents, and frequent video conferences
• Possess a positive, can-do attitude and enjoys making a difference through technical contributions
• Stimulate new ideas and offer out-of-the-box thinking
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications

• BS Degree
• Minimum of five years hands-on software engineering experience.
• Data integration experience developing and maintaining one-way and two-way information exchange between systems using technologies including SFTP, MQ, HTTPS and Web Services
• Experience with IBM WebSphere MQ Broker
• Experience with enterprise-wide data migrations
• Experience with Java/J2EE
• Experience with development tools such as IntelliJ and/or Eclipse
• Experience developing REST APIs
• Experience with relational database technologies: Oracle, PL/SQL, Amazon RDS for Oracle
• Strong familiarity with the Agile Software Development
• Work with software development team to assess, develop, test, and maintain systems and applications.
• Design and assist in the development of new software products or major enhancements to existing software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with one or more of the following Air Force logistics systems: ILS-S, SBSS, CDAS
• Experience with development, sustainment, and/or modernization of the Air Force’s Stock Control System (SCS)
• Experience with z/OS batch processing and/or modern batch processing solutions such as AWS Batch
• Experience with cloud solutions implemented in Air Force Cloud One
• Experience provisioning and managing AWS services across compute, network, and storage
• Experience with implementing automated DevSecOps pipeline, CI/CD technologies, and Jenkins
• Experience with Python
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and associated Frameworks such as React
• Experience with HTML and CSS
• Experience with code analysis tools Checkmarx, SonarQube, and Fortify SCA
