Data is integral to nearly everything that we do at AbleTo, and as a result the Data Engineering team plays a key role at our company. You should be excited to work with data, have the curiosity to dive deeply into issues, and feel empowered to make a meaningful impact at a mission-driven company. The Data Engineering team is responsible for capturing, storing and organizing key business data assets, supporting many departments including data scientists in building algorithms used for patient identification / engagement / treatment, and supporting useful and actionable reporting for the business.

The Data Product Owner should have a passion for planning and executing the development of scalable data-based solutions that enable AbleTo’s processes and services.

 

What you'll do:

  • Develop data products to help internal AbleTo teams, and partners, more effectively utilize data for business decisions and processes.
  • Prioritize new features & improvements to our offering based on user needs, input from key partners, and existing data team code.
  • Implement behavior-driven development by working with data-engineering partners to write detailed stories with acceptance criteria and tests for features.
  • Work with stakeholders to define business and data quality rules.
  • Be the primary owner of the team's backlog, ensuring the team’s backlog and roadmap is up-to-date, in order of priority, visible, transparent, and clear to all.
  • Help the team build robust documentation for solutions and processes and answer stakeholder questions before they reach the team.
  • Communicate risks, scope trade-offs, and timeline impacts to stakeholders.
  • Be the voice of customers and stakeholders.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies, such as standup, planning and retros.

Who you are:

  • 5+ year of experience in Data related roles
  • 3+ years experience in agile methodologies
  • 3+ years SQL
  • Passionate about data and using it to drive better decision making
  • Experience collaborating with a wide range of partners and managing competing priorities

 

Position Preferred Requirements:

  • 5+ years in product ownership or CSPO certification
  • Healthcare domain experience
  • Experience working on Google Cloud Platform
  • Bachelors or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other related discipline preferred
