The Data Science team at AbleTo develops and deploys models to support key business operations:  1) using healthcare claims history to predict patients who could benefit from our programs; 2) use operational data to optimize provider network and call center workflows; 3)
support business stakeholders with data-driven insights, and 4) build other data products as needed. The Data Science team works closely with the Data Engineering team who ingests data received from clients and implements new clients and new data sources.

What You'll Do

The MLE will work closely with the Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and DevOps, to lead the effort to optimize and deploy the feature engineering prototypes and targeting models into production. The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Hands-on development and deployment of data science artifacts into production workflows and business applications.
  • Establish best practices for code management. Adhere to requirements for scalability, performance, and availability.
  • Optimize data science prototypes to production quality code.
  • Monitor and maintain models in production.
  • Produce code artifacts and documentation for reproducibility.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of ML models in production.
  • Prototype new ML workflows on Google Cloud Platform.

 

Who You Are

  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Operations Research, etc.
  • High proficiency in Python, Linux and cloud computing
  • High proficiency in DevOps and MLOps tools, such as git, Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, Kubeflow, etc.
  • Skilled in data processing using PySpark, Pandas, and SQL
  • Solid knowledge in machine learning algorithms. High proficiency in distributed machine learning using xgboost, scikit-learn, etc. 
  • Fluent written and verbal communication
  • Team player and self-starter, thrives in cross-functional environments
  • Experience with deploying ML models on Google Cloud Platform is a plus
  • Industrial model production experience is a plus
