Your Responsibilities
As a Data Scientist for Deere & Company World Headquarters located in Moline, IL , you will execute data science projects which drive aftermarket growth and an improved customer experience over the lifetime. A primary focus of this role will be to improve sales and demand forecasts and stocking recommendations, ensuring service parts are available at a dealership when customers need them. You will follow the Aftermarket Analytics Delivery Process to:
Collaborate with business stakeholders and analytics team members while taking ownership of complex projects which convert abstract concepts into data science solutions
Query and manipulate complex datasets to prepare data for analysis
Develop data products such as statistical analyses, dashboards, and models which deliver actionable value to stakeholders
Lead code review, validation, and design review activities to ensure and demonstrate high-quality output
Participate in strategic roadmap planning and assist in defining project proposals and scope
Communicate results at multiple levels of technical detail to various stakeholders
What Skills You Need
2+ years of experience with a statistical programming language (Python, R, or similar)
2+ years of experience of advanced SQL programming
2+ years of experience executing data science projects involving advanced techniques (such as statistical analysis, predictive modeling, forecasting, data visualization, and machine learning) from beginning to end
Skill in interpersonal communications and ability to communicate complex topics to non-technical audiences
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience using Spark through python and/or Databricks
Experience with sales and demand forecasting using time series and/or other regression approaches
Knowledge of supply chain concepts, inventory optimization, and constraints
Knowledge of dealers, products, customers, markets, and companies in the heavy equipment industry
Advanced understanding of dealer channel aftermarket processes, digital solutions, and metrics
MS degree in related discipline
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- BS Degree discipline or equivalent experience - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
