JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Enterprise Data Management strengthens the impact of, and provides recommendations on, business data that will need to be available and shared consistently across the organization through the identification, definition and analysis of how data assets aid strategies and business outcomes. This Director defines a company's business data assets (as well as the assets' sources, structure, classification, and associations) as part of its data strategy to respond to ongoing innovation and move toward desired business outcomes. This person will drive and govern the company's data architecture, execution strategy and be a critical enabler of our efforts on analytics, AI, ML, and data science.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

•   Influence data strategy by partnering with business unit leadership and the Data Product organization. Enable the rationalization of the data value chain, by providing strategic recommendations to increase the value of data assets via their creation, access and use.   20%
•   Enhance, support and manage various data applications leveraged by both our clients and our internal colleagues to drive efficient access and consumption of data.    20%
•   Enhance and recognize value derived from data and analytics. Foster value creation using the organization's data assets, as well as external data enrichment. This includes enabling data strategies, and all forms of business outcomes through analytics, data and analytics governance, and enterprise data policy.   10%
•   Enable and enforce effective data and analytics governance: Suggest who can take what actions with what information, and under what circumstances. Assist data and analytics leaders, and business and IT leadership in developing data processes and structures.   10%
•   Conduct business data modeling. Create and manage data models in all their forms, including conceptual models, message models and others. Also be prepared to understand and manage the process flows around data use across many enterprise systems.    10%
•   Aid efforts to improve business performance through enterprise data solutions and capabilities, such as master data management (MDM), metadata management, analytics, content management, data integration, and related information management or information infrastructure components.   10%
•   Lead and support transformation initiatives in other transformation initiatives and ensure alignment to overall data strategy.   10%
•   Motivate, enable and guide teams to operate with efficiency, quality and pace while understanding critical business context around data within the enterprise.    10%

QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Education Level
Bachelor's Degree   in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience   preferred   
Master's Degree   in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience   preferred   

Work Experience
Typically 10+ years   experience in Data Management, Data Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, and / or Information Systems   required   
Previous experience as a data, analytics, or BI manager   preferred   

Licenses and Certifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent organizational, planning and communication skills   
Solid grasp of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)   
Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies   
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word etc.)   
An analytical approach with strong problem-solving skills

Travel Requirements
Minimal

The salary range for this role is $129,700 to $255,600. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.

A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
