A Brief Overview
The Senior People Analytics Analyst will play an integral part in TriNet's People Analytics function and strategy – directly executing in our People Data Foundations and Products work. This role is focused on enabling data governance programmatically, as well as delivering people analytics solutions to our stakeholders across the business. This role is an early foundational hire for the People Analytics team and function being built at TriNet. Ideal candidates will see this as an opportunity for development, growth, and be excited at the potential to make an impact as we grow this function.

What you will do

  • Support the People Analytics team in developing, communicating, and maintaining Data Governance policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Analyze People data to surface insights and answer questions that enable evidence driven decision making across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain People data products such as dashboards and reports to monitor key metrics, surface insights, or answer business questions.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting and data requests efficiently and effectively as needed.
  • Understand the upstream and downstream data impact and with support: develop, implement, and manage control structures and business rules used to govern data transformation.
  • Utilize data visualization to effectively lead users to insight and tell a compelling story.
  • Leverage data to identify areas of opportunity to drive towards strategic business goals and outcomes.
  • Build effective relationships with key stakeholders to design solutions based on business needs and priorities.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects that require input from cross-functional stakeholders while balancing impact on business needs.
  • Support advanced analytics using statistical techniques in areas such as global workforce strategy, organizational design, workforce planning, the talent life cycle and employee listening.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical / analytical field of study, or equivalent work experience

Experience Qualifications

  • Typically 5+ years in People Analytics, Data Engineering, and/or Business Intelligence

Skills and Abilities

  • Ideal Qualifications:
  • Demonstrable history of strong data analytical ability resulting in business outcomes.
  • Demonstrable history of data product (reports, dashboards, etc.) development in the People (HR) data domain.
  • Demonstrable history of proactive and effective practice around data hygiene – in direct areas of responsibility, along with spheres of influence.
  • End to end project work from raw, disparate data in People (HR) Systems to centralized and normalized data with clear and compelling visualization communicated to stakeholders, masterfully answering the root question/issue.
  • Strong Tableau Proficiency: advanced Calculations, Functions, use of Tableau Prep, custom and advanced Visualizations.
  • Expert in Excel: Power Pivot, Data Modeling, Business & Statistical formulas.
  • Understanding of Data Modeling concepts and best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of People (HR) processes and practices
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data analysis and BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, One Model, Excel.
  • Experience and proficiency creating reports and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Excel.
  • Experience & understanding of common People (HR) systems and HRIS/HCM product suites such as Oracle HCM, and an understanding of People (HR) data structure and sources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in communicating abstract and complex concepts to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization, including engineering and data management teams.
  • Proactive and self-starter mentality to approaching workload and ability to manage capacity in a disciplined manner.

Licenses and Certifications

  • People Analytics or Business Intelligence certification preferred
  • HR related certification preferred

The salary range for this role is $73,800 to $132,840. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.

A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
