About the role:

This is a people manager role supporting the continued growth of Included Health by leading and developing a team of 4-5 analytics professionals responsible for demonstrating the value of Included Health to our clients and partners. Client Analytics is a sub-team within the broader Data Insights team at Included Health. Data Insights is responsible for internal and external analytics and actuarial capabilities. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Client Analytics.

Your team is responsible for digging into multiple different types of data like claims, eligibility, and product utilization and thinking strategically about how we can best communicate the value we’re delivering for specific client populations. In order to be effective in this role, you will need to develop a deep understanding of our products and services, the markets we serve and their distinct needs. You’ll be challenged to focus on scaling our standard reporting analytics capabilities while balancing custom analysis and reporting for strategic clients.

Some examples of the Client Analytics team's work:
- Developing standardized, scalable reporting packages for our go-to-market partners to demonstrate the value of Included Health to external stakeholders
- Collaborating with our Core Data team to ensure upstream data sources are monitored and maintained to ensure quality of our reporting and analysis
- Development, maintenance, and enhancements to data sources, reports, and dashboards in Looker
Customized deep-dive analysis to support partnership with strategic clients

We predominantly use SQL, Python, Looker, and Google Workspace tools to complete and share our work. We use Jira, Confluence, Github, and Slack for communicating, collaborating, and managing our work and documentation. We are a distributed team within the U.S.

Responsibilities:

    • Establish and track progress toward goals with your direct reports, providing individualized support to maintain engagement, work through roadblocks, and reprioritize as needed
    • Lead the recruitment and hiring for any open positions that directly report to you in consultation with the Senior Manager, Client Analytics
    • Influence best practices, drive process improvement, and mentor analysts within the Client Analytics and Data Insights teams
    • Actively participate on the Data Insights leadership team, helping guide strategy for the broader Data Insights team
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to bring analytical partnership and a data informed perspective to a broad range of discussions focused on driving business impact
    • Participate in the development and execution of team wide initiatives in support of Data Insights goals aligned to our roadmap as well as those of our business partners
    • Develop clear written documentation to guide approach for developing new solutions or processes such as metric development, novel analysis, or data modeling approaches

Qualifications:

    • 6+ years experience delivering business value through analytics or reporting
    • 2+ years leading analytics professionals in a manager or team lead role
    • Ability to build relationships with key partners, provide input to long term analytics roadmaps, and coach teams on analytics competencies development
    • Remarkable written communication skills are critical in our distributed remote environment where asynchronous communication is critical for producing results
    • Experience leading data and analytics focused discussion with clients and executive audiences on topics such as presentation of program results and detailed analysis methodology walkthroughs
    • Consistent judgment and decision making in the interest of driving your team to pursue the highest expected value work
    • Experience leading a remote or hybrid team and having managed through the challenges of interpersonal relationship development, communication, and alignment that come with the flexibility and productivity of the environment
    • Preferred tool experience - Deep experience and proficiency with SQL, exposure to Python for data analysis and automation, building dashboards in Power BI, Tableau Looker, or similar work management, documentation, and communication using Jira, Confluence, and Slack
The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are:

Zone A: $132,400 - $175,400 + equity + benefits  
Zone B: $110,300 - $146,200 + equity + benefits  

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for candidates based on their respective Zone. Below is additional information on Included Health's commitment to maintaining transparent and equitable compensation practices across our distinct geographic zones.

Starting base salary for the successful candidate will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include, but not limited to, education; training; skill set; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; business needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and alignment with geographic and market data. Compensation structures and ranges are tailored to each zone's unique market conditions to ensure that all employees receive fair and competitive compensation based on their roles and locations.
