We are looking for a Staff Analyst for our Analytics & Actuarial team who will help us communicate Included Health’s value to prospective clients and in other new business situations. The ideal candidate can dig into data, think quantitatively and strategically, and step back to consider how we can best communicate our value using data and analytics in sales situations. We are looking for a mission-driven individual looking for a chance to develop a wide range of analytic skills while tackling new, unanticipated challenges.

The Staff Analyst will deeply understand Included Health’s unique service offerings to create insights, communicate our impact, and spearhead initiatives to build a library of analytics to show value to prospective clients and those clients where an opportunity exists to expand service. The position requires superb analytical ability and a strategic mindset, but also the ability to communicate effectively internally and externally and manage cross-functional initiatives. The primary focus will be on developing analyses and serving as the primary point of contact for the analytics team when partnering with Sales and Client Success on new opportunities. This will require a deep understanding of our products and services, the markets we serve and their distinct needs, and the ability to develop custom analytics to demonstrate the impact and value of our products when specific client/prospect data may be limited. We predominantly use SQL, Python, Looker, and GSuite tools to complete and share our work.

Responsibilities:

    • Engage with and serve as a collaborative partner to the Sales and Client Success teams to clearly demonstrate our value proposition using data and analytics
    • Assist with responding to Request for Proposal / Request for Information (RFP/RFI) questions related to our analytic capabilities, and also partner with Sales and Client Success to identify analyses for purposes of finalist meetings and capabilities presentations
    • Work closely with our Solutions Consulting, Consultant Relations and other cross functional stakeholders to create and curate a “library” of analyses that can be used to demonstrate our value for client upsells and new business opportunities
    • Translate findings of complex analyses into internal and external intellectual capital and actionable recommendations
    • Help lead initiatives to integrate data and reporting for new business opportunities that leverage multiple product lines
    • Influence best practices, drive process improvement, and collaborate with fellow analysts across the Analytic Consulting and broader Analytics & Actuarial teams

Requirements:

    • Advanced proficiency in data visualization techniques to effectively communicate the results of complex analyses
    • High level of proficiency in SQL and Excel/G-sheets
    • Ability to independently lead initiatives and bring in collaborators as needed
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to apply judgment to discern when we need a directional answer vs. a deep dive analysis
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute on deliverables in a timely manner
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of experience working with various types of data including but not limited to claims data, call data, EHR data, survey data and developing thoughtful analytic plans leveraging healthcare data
    • Experience interacting with and delivering presentations to executive and/or client audiences in sales / new business situations (e.g., finalist meetings, pitch sessions, etc.)
    • Previous experience working with GTM teams and clients in an environment such as consulting, carrier / health plan, or a third-party vendor point solution
