The Role:

The ideal candidate has a passion for advocating for data-informed processes, changes and decision-making. You should have a background in analytics, report development and telling stories with data. You should be able to spot opportunities to solve problems and answer questions with data. You should be comfortable taking ownership and have a desire to proactively collaborate with leadership. This role is an individual contributor.

Responsibilities:

    • Develop and own quality reporting and analyses that support business operations and strategic planning
    • Analyze and communicate insights on member experience and clinical quality
    • Continuously monitor quality data and alert leadership and key stakeholders of trends that indicate issues or risks
    • Provide insights to quality leadership and key internal stakeholders to improve the quality of the care and service provided to our members
    • Monitor industry trends and maintain up to date expertise on quality reporting and advise organization and key stakeholders on best practices
    • Create executive level data summary reports and present findings to leadership
    • Meet data and reporting needs to support quality improvement initiatives and monitor success of member experience initiatives
    • Provide reporting to support continuous audit readiness
    • Collaborate with other internal reporting, analytics and data science teams to ensure a consistent use of data objects and approach to data governance
    • Produce quarterly member complaint report for Quality Management Oversight Committee (this is a URAC - Utilization Review Accreditation Commission- requirement)
    • Design data visualizations and dashboards to allow ongoing monitoring of quality of care and service
    • Analyze information obtained from a variety of sources, conduct and document the thoughtful and sound analyses and evaluation of data, and provide meaningful interpretation of data to a variety of audiences
    • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned

Qualifications/Experience/Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in epidemiology, social sciences, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in related field may be substituted
    • 5+ years expertise in manipulating and analyzing large datasets, focused on relational databases
    • Experience developing data visualizations in Looker or Tableau to publish interactive dashboards
    • Proficiency in SQL, Excel/G-sheets, and Powerpoint/G-slides, and data visualization
    • Ability to contextualize and translate complex data analyses based upon the audience
    • Knowledge of statistics or biostatistics and the appropriate application of analytic methods
    • Ability to organize, delegate and coordinate multiple simultaneous tasks in a team environment
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects
    • Willingness and ability to provide mentoring, coaching, advice, and assistance to employees in a collaborative learning environment
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills to communicate with peers, internal stakeholders, and executive leaders
    • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills

    • Preferred Qualities:
    • Healthcare-related data analysis
    • Master's degree in a related field
    • 1 year of project management experience
This role is remote. However, you will be expected to travel for business purposes approximately 4 times per year.
