Job Description
The Security Data Engineering Manager will support the design, development, and implementation of Security Data Analytic (SDA) capabilities that leverage cybersecurity telemetry, big data technologies and sophisticated machine learning to deliver alerting to the SOC, efficiencies and insight to our Enterprise Information Security organization and efficient retrieval of terabytes of data spanning multiple years. The ideal candidate will be able to assess and apply vendor and open source solutions to provide functionality and tackle problems, but also be capable of writing production grade software that will scale to billions of events per day.

• Design and implement resilient data pipelines and architecture for ingesting unbounded data from various sources with different formats using Hadoop, Spark, NiFi and Kafka, microservices, Cloud-based applications (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Support the SDA infrastructure design and implementation and ensure integration with other security systems and operational workflows
• Develop capabilities for ingesting and indexing large volumes of security-related data in Hadoop, AWS, GCP, Azure environments
• Stay apprised of the latest data science technologies and techniques to identify areas where new tools can be applied to support SDA use cases
• Design and implement batch pipelines using Python, Hive, and Spark for global security analytics

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 90,000
Maximum: 180,000

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Required Qualifications
-5 years of Python experience and scripting
-5 years of experience with Linux OS
-5 years of experience in design and implementing real-time data pipelines using NiFi, Kafka, and Spark Streaming
-3 years’ experience with cloud architecture and microservices in AWS, GCP, or Azure
-3 years of experience designing and implementing capabilities in a cloud-based, Spark big data environment
-2 years of experience using and creating CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, CircleCi
-2 years of experience leading a team

Preferred Qualifications
-7 years of experience with streaming big data applications like Kafka, NiFi, Spark streaming/Storm
-3 years of experience with deep learning libraries like TensorFlow
-Experience with data visualization tools and applications

Education
Bachelor’s Degree Or Equivalent Experience

Master’s degree Preferred
