Position Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manager, Operations and Reporting to join our Data Governance Operations team. This role will be responsible for managing the team's project portfolio, overseeing project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and performance monitoring. This individual will provide guidance and training to the team on implementing project management tools, processes, and industry best practices to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of all projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project management processes, procedures, and tools, ensuring consistency across the team.
  • Oversee the development and management of comprehensive data governance training programs, ensuring that all team members have the necessary knowledge of data governance principles, practices, and tools.
  • Manage the team's project portfolio, including project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and performance monitoring.
  • Work closely with the Director of Data Governance Operations to ensure that data governance initiatives align with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Implement project management tools and best practices to optimize data governance processes, tools, and resources.
  • Foster a data-driven culture within the organization, promoting data literacy and awareness of data governance best practices.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at various levels within the organization.
  • Provide regular program and project updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage project dashboards and reports to provide updates on project progress and inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements related to data governance and privacy, working with compliance teams as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project management processes and increase operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Program Management, including experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with project management tools (Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, Rally, etc) and data governance products, such as data dictionaries, business glossaries, and data lineage platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects within expectations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, best practices, and industry standards. 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$90,000.00 – $180,000.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
