Overview:

Welcome to the Data Platform team at LivePerson! Here you will be working with internal and external AI platforms, making it better and easier for brands to help their customers via messaging.

In this role, you will be working across many internal teams, external partners, and large customers to enable AI-based agent matching and routing solutions. This is a new capability to the LivePerson platform and includes a mix of modernizing legacy systems and building entirely new features from the ground up.

You will: 

  • Design, build, and deploy Java-based enterprise-level solutions. 
  • Build and maintain high volume data pipelines using Spark, Databricks
  • Build innovative analytical solutions using Cloud, Big Data, and NoSQL related technologies
  • Actively participate in code review and test solutions to ensure it meets best practice specifications
  • Maintain and support existing applications and services with uptime on par with industry-standard. 
  • Utilize monitoring tools and logging services to debug and analyze production issues.
  • Be responsible to maintain production pipelines for various services under the Data Platform team.
  • Test software to ensure proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements

 

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or SW Engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • 3+ years of  experience in Java or Scala as a backend systems developer. 
  • 1+ year of experience with Spark - advantage!
  • Ability to build efficient and reliable SQL pipelines to support analytic use cases
  • Ability to effectively communicate designs via flowcharts, sequence diagrams, and similar.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience working with data at scale, including Kafka and NoSQL databases.
  • Demonstrates the ability to self-learn and grow.
  • Solid understanding of software design principles, concurrency, synchronization, memory management, data structures, algorithms
  • Strong communications capabilities both written and verbally
  • Team player with a can-do approach

Nice to have:

  • Experienced with cloud-based systems (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Exposure to Databricks, SparkSQL is a huge plus
  • Data engineering experience
