The Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Growth Data Science Organization, specializing in fintech operations. In this role, you will focus on user behavior, customer retention, process automation and optimization, and GenAI innovation. The ideal candidate will be deeply immersed in data science with hands-on GenAI/LLM/NLP experience, driven by a passion for uncovering insights that fuel Prosper's growth and engagement strategy. You must demonstrate the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively in a team environment with meticulous attention to detail.

Problems You Will Solve

    • Responsible for the development of AI/ML solutions. Spearhead GenAI, LLM innovation and application to automate/optimize current workflow and process for efficiency enhancement. Ensure the end-to-end solution meets all technical and business requirements
    • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and MLOps team for the deployment of AI/ML solutions into production environments, ensuring reliability and scalability
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of AI/ML modeling processes and procedures for reference and knowledge sharing
    • Ensure the use of standards, governance, and best practices in AI/ML model development, as well as adherence to model and data governance standards
    • Troubleshoot complex issues related to AI/ML model development and data pipelines and develop innovative solutions
    • Actively participate in industry events focused on data science and advanced analytics

About You

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field and 7+ years relevant experience in data analytics or data science in fintech/banking OR a Master’s degree in above areas with 5+ years relevant experience
    • Expert level in SQL and Python
    • Hands-on experience leveraging large sets of structured and unstructured data to develop data-driven tactical and strategic analytics and insights using GenAI, ML, NLP
    • Ability to effectively communicate data-driven insights cross-functionally to a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment
    • Ability to navigate business ambiguity and drive solutions to complex problems quickly and successfully, both independently and as part of a team

$146,000 - $179,000 a year
Compensation details: The salary for this position is $146,000 - $179,000 annually, plus bonus and generous benefits. In determining your salary, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
