The Role
We are seeking a Sr. Director, Product and Conversion Analytics focused on innovation and development. The successful candidate is a rigorous data driven leader with a passion for seeking truth and driving Proper’s growth, engagement strategy and product roadmap. The ideal candidate must be able to lead a team, roll up the sleeves when needed, and work in a collaborative environment with acute attention to detail. This role will report to the VP, Analytics.

Problems You Will Solve

    • Drive an analytics pipeline to explore unchartered areas both with existing and new data sets; a concept critical to our future success as a company.
    • Partner with Product Managers to create, develop and integrate product testing and shape product roadmap trajectory.
    • Present findings, implementations and documentation to Proper’s analytics community, executives and to the company as a whole.
    • Align closely with business units to develop analysis and predictive modeling to drive critical organizational decisions and developments.
    • Build and refine data structure from the ground up with the Data Engineering Team.
    • Actively participate in industry events on data science, analytics or modern analytical techniques.

About You

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics or mathematics
    • Masters or advanced degree / coursework preferred but not required
    • 12+ years experience in a data analytics or statistical modeling oriented role.
    • Strong knowledge of SQL / Python / R or other mathematical programming languages.
    • Working knowledge of Heap.
    • Proven experience interpreting advanced analytics and working with Data Science teams.
    • Proven track record working with new and unstructured data sets and managing third party relationships around data enrichment.
    • Demonstrated experience presenting data cross functionally and integrating with a business unit.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing, start-up environment
    • Ability to drive solutions to complex problems quickly and successfully, both individually and as part of a team effort.
    • Willingness to learn new skills and embrace a team-first culture
