Position Summary
You will work as a Senior Decision Scientist in our Value Based Solutions and Analytics Group. The focus of our business is related to population health management, creating partnerships with hospitals and physicians, and delivering differentiated experiences for our providers. We are working to transform health care through innovations that make quality care more patient-centric, accessible, easier to use, and less expensive.
Applies experience from strategy consulting, analytics, and data engineering to successfully act as the product owner for one or more analytics initiatives.
Consults with internal network team to develop new analytic products and solutions.
Collaborates with business partners to understand their problems and goals, statistical analysis, data reports and performance metrics.
Wrangles large structured and unstructured datasets from disparate enterprise databases and present modeling results to senior stakeholders, tying progress to enterprise goals
Acts as an analytics product owner translating business needs into analytics projects and actions. Leads development of solutions with moderate complexity and risk.
Behaves as a mentor to junior team members to provide technical advice. Experience with SQL, Hive, Hadoop, Tableau, and pulling data from large databases is required. Health care experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of business experience leading analyses and initiatives with track record of business impact.
7 – 10 years of experience in programming using SQL, Hadoop, Tableau, and large databases.
5+ years total business experience.
Strong knowledge of advanced analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources, including schedulers.
Experience working with schedulers.
strong ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to business partners
Experience with Cloud platform solutions
Experience with Health Care Claims and Quality Metrics.
Experience with advanced statistical analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Python and R preferred
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline. Master's degree or PhD preferred.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$97,335.00 – $201,900.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
