Overview

The Senior Director, Advanced Analytics at AbleTo will bring significant healthcare data analytics experience in evaluating and measuring the impact of AbleTo’s programs on members in terms of clinical outcomes, medical costs and other value based outcomes. The Sr. Director role will be client facing as well as working closely with internal stakeholders on enhancing reporting on program performance by client, line of business and by product. They will also work with the sales team to enhance opportunity/savings analyses for potential customers. The Sr. Director will work to enhance AbleTo’s analytics capabilities in analyzing health care claims data and creating enrichment layers to include episode groupers, risk scoring models, and other tools. The Sr.  Director will identify other sources of data such as socio-economic and social determinants of health and consumer data which will generate insights into which members will benefit from AbleTo’s program. The Sr. Director will provide significant input and support for the development of internal data mart as well as other analytic tools to enhance and improve the efficiency of current analytics and reporting.

 

The Senior Director will provide the technical leadership and mentorship for the Data Analytics team, ensuring sound methodologies and best practices are employed by the team for client reporting and analytics as well as for effective decision making and strategy development by senior leadership. They will also partner with department owners to identify and prioritize opportunities to inject analytics and use of data to improve performance. This role will significantly contribute to the company’s growth in the critical core competency of Data Science.

 

What You’ll Do: 

Technical Leadership

  • Bring healthcare analytics leadership to drive engagement and treatment outcomes in various populations such as commercially insured, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, etc.

    • Lead data analytics – serve as SME on analytic methods such as episode groupers, risk scoring models, relative resource values (RRVs), Risk Adjustment, propensity matching, etc..

    • Lead team approach to optimize use of medical claims and pharmacy data

    • Work with the data science team to leverage new tools and healthcare analytics to augment identification and stratification models

    • Collaborate with the data science team to identify and integrate other data sources to improve models

    • Proactively identify new ways to use data or ways to augment data to improve effectiveness and efficiency

    • Work with clinical and sales leaders to enhance outcomes reporting

  • Implement best practices in data management, quality control processes, and maintaining code/documentation repositories

 

Stakeholder Management

  • Prioritize and communicate Data Analytic projects based on Company objectives across multiple stakeholders

  • Own, present and explain findings to various internal stakeholders across the company AND external clients, and developing the team to do so as well

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with our Research team, Engagement team, Clinical team, Product teams to optimize our use of data and analytics to develop business insights

  • Works with internal customers to define business problems and proposes analytic research or solutions to solve or address those needs

 

Team Development

  • In partnership with the Director of Business Intelligence, lead the enhancement of AbleTo’s reporting and analytics capabilities to create a scalable and efficient analytics platform.

  • Provide leadership and professional guidance to the Data Analytics team members and other colleagues with a focus on enhancing the health care expertise of team members 

  • Drive the continuous improvement of team’s capabilities & tools

  • Ensure the transmission and sufficiency of the team’s technical knowledge by mentoring new members of the team 

 

Who You Are:  

  • You have 8 or more  years of experience in healthcare analytics

  • You hold a BS & Masters Degrees in advanced statistics, informatics, biostatistics, or actuarial science, or equivalent work experience

  • You are excited about forming relationships with clients and working closely with Account Managers and Sales teams

  • You can speak the language of Actuarial teams in payor companies

  • You are innovative and love working with data and gleaning insights

The salary range is $140,000 - 185,000.  Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.  In addition to your salary, AbleTo offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
