Job Description

We’re currently searching for an experienced business analyst who is highly detail-oriented, an expert communicator, and top-notch analyst skilled at using data analytics to improve health outcomes. This person should also be wholly committed to supporting the fundamentals of high-quality healthcare for the right patient at the right time and in the right setting to optimize outcomes.

Key business objectives for the role include:
– Drive awareness of requirements across business units and identify actionable insights through evaluation of real-time and claims-based data
– Acquire, combine, and analyze data from multiple sources, identifying trends and opportunities.
– Create and implement precise management plans for every project, with attention to clear and transparent communication at all levels.
– Support the larger analytics and business organization through execution of complex data analytics that support product, clinical, financial and other objectives.

Key Responsibilities for this position include:
– The ability to understand health care operations and systems
– Pulling and integrating data from disparate sources
– Evaluating and processing raw data
– Suggest ways to both increase healthcare quality and reduce costs based upon data analysis
– Collaborate with internal and external teams to implement and evaluate program improvements

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 43,700
Maximum: 100,000

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Required Qualifications
– 3+ years of experience querying with SQL and/or other analysis tools.
– Proven experience as a healthcare data analyst.
– Advanced proficiency with data tools including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and a strong working knowledge of other relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio and Power BI.
– Experience working with some of the following: claims, Medicare/Medicaid data, care management data and electronic health records.
– Proven ability to manage projects and strong presentation skills.
– Extensive experience with data manipulation, data visualization, and presentation.

Preferred Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Health Informatics, Information technology or computer science, statistics, applied mathematics or other related field.
– Knowledge of data management systems
– Understanding of healthcare procedures, terminology and coding.

Education
– Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Health Informatics, Information technology or computer science, statistics, applied mathematics or equivalent experience.
