Job Description
As a Senior Manager Insights Storyteller & Data Visualization, you will effectively communicate insights from a dataset using narratives and visualizations. You will work with the product management and analytics teams to develop compelling visualization techniques and craft stories around those visualizations for easy consumption by multiple audiences such as business users, scientists, clinicians and regulators. Your goal is to unleash transformative value from data, interactions, and experience across the CVS Health ecosystem for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and/or Payers. This role will allow you to employ deep visualization expertise across a broad range of healthcare topics to deliver meaningful insights. You will be seen as a compelling storyteller that bring actionable solutions to our customers.
You will accomplish this by:
– Leveraging deep understanding of BI tooling and capabilities as well as the underlying analytics.
– Crafting compelling narratives that can be understood by a variety of audiences and context such as business-facing dashboards or thought leadership and public facing marketing materials.
– Employing a dual skillset of visual and verbal storytelling into this start-up environment
As a Sr. Manager Insights Storyteller & Data Visualization, your success will be determined by the differentiated value in the Insights & Analytics deliverables that your team delivers to Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and/or Payers. Your organizational, analytical, and consultative skills will also contribute to your success. In this role, you will operate in dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative and “start-up” like environment.
In this role you will be an integral member of the CVS Health Insights Business. This is a newly formed business that is responsible for harnessing the unparalleled consumer reach of CVS Health, our sophisticated analytics, and unique clinical expertise from across the enterprise to translate data into actionable insights and enable interventions that drive measurable outcomes. The contributions you will make as a Sr. Manager Insights Storyteller & Data Visualization will be paramount to our success as you will directly engage with and provide value for our customers.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 75,400
Maximum: 162,700
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Required Qualifications
• 7+ years as a data storyteller with a portfolio of external/market facing data stories through business dashboards and thought leadership content
• 7+ years of expert-level understanding of data and insights products and hands-on application of various BI tools (Tableau, R Studio, Power BI etc.)
•5+ years experience with healthcare data across multiple segments such as pharma and payor
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to translate the language of data scientists to business users and other interested parties such as government bodies or scientists
• Superior communication skills with the ability to partner with teams, and effectively present the narratives to internal and potential external stakeholders and clients
• Ability and willingness to navigate ambiguous and multi-stakeholder environments in a fast-moving new business endeavor
• Demonstration of exceptional writing skills with attention to detail
• Sufficient Technical acumen and leadership to include developing strategy and vision for a highly technical Data, IT and Data Science team, driving towards success.
• Experience in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturer, Health Plans Health System/Care Delivery and/or Public Health/Government organization
• Experience engaging with both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders across levels of seniority.
• Experience with working in a business start-up environment
• Vendor or consulting experience
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Computer Science or similar discipline required.
