Mindoula is looking for a Technical Business Analyst with a passion for healthcare operations. In this role, you’ll provide customer support throughout Mindoula to help our colleagues answer questions with data. This is a no-two-days-the-same kinda role. It’s also demanding as late data isn’t that useful. You’ll field requests and need to discern what is really being asked then you’ll figure out how to efficiently deliver an answer with a combination of business intelligence (BI), custom SQL, excel/py, slides, and/or working with the data engineers to expand what data is readily available. We want to foster self-service BI organization-wide and this role is critical to helping us achieve our goal.

This is a 100% remote position in the United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

What you'll do...

  • Monitor request line each day answering questions, coaching, and delivering quick-wins. Create cards to track and prioritize remaining work amongst the team.
  • Escalate and track time-sensitive tasks and deliverables.
  • Turn findings into meaningful storyboard presentations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to extend our business intelligence functionality to maximize self-service and automate requests.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that contribute to business and clinical objectives using SQL/excel and/or python.
  • Provide basic data validation to ensure data quality and consistency, identifying anomalies and inconsistencies in data sets.
  • Adopt conventions and improve our processes to keep us and our analyses organized.

What you'll need...

  • Bachelor's in a relevant field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Some experience (1+ years) as a Data Analyst, preferably in healthcare.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one business intelligence tool such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or a similar tool.
  • Preferably some experience with Python or an interest in learning it.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Experience with data validation techniques and best practices to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple adhoc requests simultaneously.
