We are looking for a Business Intelligence Senior Data Analyst to join our growing Data Team (Data Science & Business Intelligence). You will also work very closely with the Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to build out our business intelligence capabilities and make sure that the right people get the right data at the right time!

What you’ll be doing:

    • Be part of the Business Intelligence team under the Data Department (Data Science & Business Intelligence) and collaborate with the Data Science - Product and Engineering teams to develop a new company-wide BI platform
    • Work with the DS and Engineering teams to create sustainable and efficient ETL data pipelines
    • Create backend data models & materialized views which are used to source reporting across multiple teams
    • Make sure that teams have the data that they need by building dashboards, charts, reports, and presentations
    • Create reproducible and automated reports for internal departments
    • Perform data exploration and analysis of various data setsDefine, analyze and validate key internal metrics to inform decision-making and measure the success of each team’s initiatives
    • Work with all internal Spring departments to understand, track, visualize, and report on key performance indicators and OKRs
    • Become an expert in working with our data stack including R, Postgresql, Stitch, Snowflake, Looker, dbt, and RStudio Connect

What we expect from you:

    • You are passionate about changing the face of mental health care and Spring Health’s mission to remove all barriers to mental health resonates with you
    • You are fluent in R (particularly the tidyverse) and have used it regularly for at least 2 years
    • You are an expert in querying data with SQL (Postgres, Mysql, etc)  including writing performant queries, window functions, and CTE’s
    • You have some experience working with cloud-based data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
    • You regularly work with messy data doing data transformations, munging, and pre-processing
    • You enjoy creating charts, visualizations, and using data to tell a story. You may even have experience using data visualization tools such as ggplot, d3, or Matplotlib
    • You can communicate clearly with and about data to technical and non-technical partners
    • You are comfortable working independently and as part of a small and fast-moving team

What we’d love to see but is not required:

    • You have used Looker and are particularly adept at using LookML
    • Experience with SQL based ETL & orchestration tools such as dbt, Airflow, AWS Athena, Redshift Spectrum
    • Data quality and security are always top of mind for you. At Spring we believe that every data point is a person going through a unique mental health journey and ensuring data quality & security is of utmost importance
    • Experience with ETL tools such as Stitch, Workato, AWS Glue, or Fivetran
    • Understanding of ETL concepts such as data warehousing & creating data pipelines
    • Experience querying data from APIs
    • Experience creating R Shiny applications
    • Comfortable with Rstudio Team products such as RStudio Server Pro, RStudio Connect, RStudio Package Manager
    • Experience working with AWS softwares and services
