We are looking for an experienced data science and analytics leader to join the growing Data Science organization and build out our Operational Analytics department.  You will partner directly with senior leadership across the business to effectively leverage data to enable best-in-class financial and care operations. Your team will work on our most analytically challenging problems - everything from evaluating the pricing strategies for our various product lines, to predicting growth targets for hiring care teams in different geographical regions, to identifying factors and strategies that drive member engagement.  You shall be a strategic thought partner to all operations and business functions at Spring Health and work with them to set and drive company and department wide KPIs. 

What you’ll be doing:

    • Act as a strategic thought partner to cross functional partners and senior executive team, helping to prioritize and execute data and analytics efforts and investments
    • Create and drive the execution of the analytic roadmap for the business intelligence and data foundations teams 
    • Own the strategy for our business intelligence, data analytics and data warehousing software applications, keeping a close watch on the evolving vendor landscape
    • Work with the engineering platform team to lead the design and development of our data warehouse in alignment with the overall analytics strategy
    • Guide your team on strategic communication and how to translate from a business use case to underlying conceptual data models, data pipelines and business logic
    • Grow, mentor and scale a team of data analysts, data scientists and data architects 

What we expect from you:

    • You are passionate about changing the face of mental health care and Spring Health’s mission to remove all barriers to mental health resonates with you
    • 8+ years of working experience driving analytics and data science for a brand-new or rapidly scaling business or product lines
    • 4+ years of previous leadership experience
    • You have exceptional communication skills and are excited to champion and operationalize data driven decision making at all levels across the organization
    • You are passionate about data, metrics, innovation, and operational excellence
    • Proficiency with sql; Experience with an analytical scripting language (ex:python/R) and command line/git
    • Bonus points for experience with Snowflake, Looker, dbt
    • Proximity to NYC or willingness to travel to NYC often
