The Opportunity
The Democratic National Committee Tech Team is hiring a Community Analyst to join our Community Team that serves as the customer support hub for our data warehouse (‘Phoenix’), analytics tools, voter education tools and voter protection software. Our users are data staffers on campaigns, sister committees, and state parties. 

The DNC Tech Team
 In its continuing mission to build infrastructure to help Democrats win campaigns up and down the ballot, our data warehouse, early voting data pipelines, voter protection software, and security infrastructure were vital in winning the 2020 election. As we look to the future, we're excited to continue providing world class customer support to hundreds of data staffers across the country as we head into the heart of the 2022 cycle.

Who We Are
 We are a fully remote, distributed team living in 19 states and from a variety of backgrounds. Some of us have worked in political campaigns, others in public sector tech, and others in industry. We value diversity in perspective, lived experience, and the many paths one may take into working in political technology. We believe deeply in the promise of breaking the boom-bust cycle of political tech work and building technology infrastructure that will support campaigns from cycle to cycle and will improve with every iteration.

Who You Are
We’re looking for a hyper organized customer support partner who will support users on DNC tech products and services through the 2022 cycle.

You Will...

    • Answer and troubleshoot technical questions from users (campaign, state party, sister committee staff) about our tools, products and datasets, via a customer support queue in Zendesk;
    • Onboard new users to DNC tech products and tools;
    • Build collaborative relationships with state party staff, troubleshooting voter file issues, and responding to and advocating for state party needs;
    • Partner with product managers to provide  up-to-date and relevant documentation of DNC tech and data products and processes, including creating new content as necessary;
    • Represent political data and technology on the front lines. This team is responsible for facilitating a profound feedback loop between us and our community of users, in addition to ensuring our tools and products are well documented and utilized; and,
    • Collaborate with other Community Analysts and Community Director to support each other in day-to-day work.

What we look for...

    • Prior experience in political tech and data Some experience with data analysis and working with datasets (BigQuery a plus!)Ability to excavate and troubleshoot issues with little information;
    • Stellar communication skills in remote and high-pressure environments, including maintaining contact with stakeholders;
    • Exceptional organizational skills;
    • Experience building  relationships with stakeholders, customers, and/or users; and,
    • Curious self-starter who will take initiative in my own learning and not be afraid to ask questions.

We'd be excited to see...

    • Political campaign or state party experience;
    • Experience in technical user or client-facing roles;
    • Zendesk or similar customer service tools;
    • VoteBuilder/NGPVAN toolsSQL, or any other language efficient for analyzing large datasets;
    • Jira, or similar project tracking tools;
    • Data Studio, or other data visualization platforms; and,
    • Experience working on a remote team.
This is a cycle based position with an end date of November 15, 2022.

The salary range for community analyst is $75,000-$85,000 on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is not eligible for overtime wages.
