We push ourselves every day to better the codebase, improve performance, and deliver an amazing customer experience.  As a data-driven company pursuing an IPO we’re looking for a Data Product Manager, to be primarily responsible for defining the vision and owning the data product for our financial data warehouse. This critical system is responsible for the underlying transactional and financial data that our finance team uses to report business results. The Data Product Manager will work closely with senior executives, finance, business analysts and our engineering team to define the data needs to drive clarity into our business performance and drive key decisions. The ideal candidate will have proven, hands-on business experience implementing a range of data or analytics projects, with a focus on work products that can scale with a growing business. The Data Product Manager will report into the Sr Manager for Data Product Management.

What You'll Do:

    • Work with senior business leaders in finance to understand their objectives and define the data vision, needs and requirements to unlock our data in pursuit of our goals. 
    • Be the authoritative expert on ezCater’s data. Resolve questions and inconsistencies with our data products by tracing lineage and your expertise in our systems and infrastructure. 
    • Identify and pilot industry leading tools to continue investing in our modern cloud-based tech stack.
    • Own the product roadmap for Data Products within our Financial Data Warehouse. Work with our finance team to set priorities and objectives and track progress. 
    • Lead user acceptance testing of functional requirements.
    • Identifying opportunities in our internal user’s data experience and bridging the gap between engineers, analytics, and other data consumers.
    • Drive the prioritization of projects and overall vision to develop an organizations’ internal capability to effectively operationalize data.

What You Have:

    • 3+ years of experience working in a data engineering or analytics team. 2+ years as an owner of a Data or Analytics Product strongly preferred.  
    • Bachelor's Degree in quantitative discipline, Computer Science or Engineering preferred. Masters a plus.
    • Strong data analytics background with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with business and engineering partners to translate business needs into results. 
    • Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, ELT process, and enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure. Proficiency in SQL is required. 
    • Strong communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and  work seamlessly with Engineering groups. Track record of developing complex multi-quarter product plans that align business and engineering priorities. 
    • Experience in SQL, Python/R, Tableau/Looker, and other relevant BI tools with related experience analyzing data as well as writing queries and reports. 
    • Can work seamlessly with Engineering groups. Experience with Agile software development tools such as Jira or other Agile reporting tools
    • A disposition that is friendly, flexible and pragmatic, and the desire to learn something new every day and continue to grow.
The national cash compensation range for this role is $116,000-$157,000* per year.

*Please note: Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise and region & may vary from the amount above. This range does not represent additional compensation benefits (such as equity, 401K or medical, dental or vision insurance).
