What You'll Do:

• Leveraging a modern Data Science/ML Stack, use advanced analytical, modeling and simulation techniques to develop insights and systems that improve our ability to serve our customers and catering partners efficiently. 
• Expose patterns across structured and unstructured data to identify business opportunities, working with business partners on problems that will materially benefit our customers and our results.  
• Focus on end-to-end problem solving, working with business analysts and BI teams on exploratory analysis and Operations and Software engineering teams to productionalize model outputs.
• Proactively identify opportunities for the application of Advanced Analytics and Machine Learning across the catering partner business - serve as an advocate for continuous improvement across the analytics space.
• Serve as guild lead for a team of business-facing Data Scientist across the business.  Mentor, coach and develop operating constructs to ensure Data Science at ezCater is implemented consistently and in an industry-leading manner across both notebook-based and AutoML solutions.
• Contribute to ezCater’s culture of personal and professional growth by leading projects with multiple stakeholders and mentoring others in this valuable field.

What You Have:

• Experience with both natural and controlled experiment design and a proven ability to solve and communicate complex problems using both technical skills and creativity.  
• Expertise and prior experience applying Python, R or similar programming languages within statistical modeling and ML spaces. 
• Experience working with common Python tools (e.g. Scikit-learn) and AutoML software (e.g. DataRobot) preferred.
• A proven ability to apply a scientific approach to building models, evaluating statistical outcomes and continuous improvement of your work
• Proficiency in SQL is required.
• A background in modern programming languages is preferred.
• Experience coaching Data Scientists and analytical professionals at levels of experience ranging from early career to principle. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Our data stack is comprised of Snowflake, DBT, Stitch, Airflow, AWS, Sagemaker, MLFlow, Kubernetes + Docker. Any experience with the above is a nice-to-have.
• Our AutoML Platform is DataRobot.  Experience in the tool is a nice-to-have.A sharp mind, a soft heart and a large funny bone.
