We are looking for a Data Research Senior Analyst that will help us build a reliable and scalable database of sustainability information, through research on public companies’ ESG indicators and quality assurance. The role provides an opportunity to understand the reporting standards that exist and how companies’ sustainability performance is measured.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Working as a Data Research Senior Analyst you will be responsible for ensuring that we have the most accurate environmental, social and governance data in order to provide the most reliable sustainability impact measurements. The Data Research Analyst role will include, but not be limited to, the following activities:

  • Assist in data collection project management through data analysis, quality assurance and data monitoring using BI, Excel, SQL and Python
  • Conduct frequent research on ESG reporting standards and assist in the development of methodologies for the collection of environmental indicators (e.g. CO2 emissions, energy consumption, waste generation)
  • Mentor and train external contractors and internal team on environmental indicators and sustainability frameworks
  • Perform ad hoc team projects as needed
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills (minimum C1 level-proficient user)
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Finance, Economics, International Relations, Accounting, Environmental Studies or similar field of study
  • 2+ years of experience in a related field (company fundamentals analysis, sustainability, data collection, data analysis, data research, consulting, auditing)
  • Basic knowledge of Python and/or SQL
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel, and BI tools (e.g. Quicksight, Tableau)
  • Prior/working knowledge of ESG research or analysis is an advantage
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, with clear attention to detail and ability to work with complex datasets
  • Highly motivated, independent, proactive and deeply passionate about sustainability and impact
