In this role you'll raise the data IQ of the product team and enable the team to make data-informed decisions. You'll inject data throughout the development process from ideation, prioritization, design, to post-launch success. You'll build and develop a team of product analysts and inject best practices across the whole product team to create insights that inform our prioritization and the solutions we bring to market. Ultimately, your team will make our product more successful!

The Role
  • Build, develop and lead a team of product analysts to deliver insights on end-user behavior, customer usage, and product success
  • As a Director of Product Analytics, you will be the owner of our end-to-end product data and help scale product analytics at ClickUp - uncovering and sharing critical insights that will shape our product roadmap and the future of our company
  • You will partner cross-functionally with leaders from Product Management, Engineering, and the Go-to-Market team to scale our product data infrastructure, develop analytical frameworks and grow our analytical tools to help us make increasingly more data-driven product decisions
  • Ensure every product area has health metrics to track, insights that inform product discovery, and post-launch success dashboards that inform development
  • Build a data-centric culture and be an internal champion for analytics and data literacy throughout the product organization
  • Turn loosely defined problems into practical analyses
  • Identify opportunities for our product to drive increased customer conversion, retention, engagement, and lifetime value, both through data and a deep qualitative understanding of our customers
  • Implement best-in-class analytical frameworks and testing structure across the entire product to ensure that data insights area always accurate
  • Data Stack: Amplitude, Segment, DBT, Tableau, AWS, Snowflake, SQL
 
 
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in a highly analytical role, 4+ years in a product analytics role, ideally at a SaaS company
  • 3+ years experience as a leader managing multiple teams
  • Strong track record of developing, motivating and inspiring analytical teams
  • A demonstrated self-starter and incredible prioritizer who moves fast and can take ownership of projects and drive them to completion without much guidance
  • High degree of experience translating broad questions into structured analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to distill complex analytical solutions into actionable insights
  • Experience with scaling of a data driven team by hiring and retaining exceptional talent and influencing the broader product and design organization
  • Experience in maturing a data organization from product instrumentation, to analysis, dashboarding and proactive insight discovery and experimentation.
  • A strong understanding of software business principles and metrics
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and understanding of data warehouse principles
  • Experience working with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, QuickSight)
  • Experience with best-in-class product analytics tech stacks, including Amplitude and Segment (or similar tools)
 
Desirable:
  • Consumer and SaaS product analytics experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Amplitude.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS metrics.
  • Technical competence to perform advanced analytics using Python
