How can you make an Impact?
You will be a part of a larger team of learning and data scientists devoted to improving the learning experience for students and teachers alike. You will design and execute ongoing and ad hoc efficacy research and analyses of assessment data by partnering with internal teams and psychometricians. To ensure the products are maximally effective, you will take initiative to obtain the data needed to answer research questions, apply appropriate analytic techniques, and articulate results to people with and without technical expertise.
What You’ll Do
· Design and execute research projects to demonstrate the impact of McGraw Hill’s programs on learning and other important outcome measures
· Using appropriate inferential and descriptive statistical methods, analyze customer usage data to determine the effect of our programs.
· Work with internal technology and product teams, as well as external psychometric teams, to execute research projects about McGraw Hill assessments, including reliability, validity, item response, and classification accuracy studies
· Use data extraction tools like Python and SQL to obtain data required for analysis and reports
· Prepare analyses and reports using Tableau and/or a statistical analysis application
· Write reports for internal and external audiences
· Communicate with, and present to, McGraw Hill colleagues in the marketing, product development, sales, implementation, and executive management teams to carry out requests and deliver results
What We Value/What You’ll Need
· Graduate degree in educational psychology or a related field with a strong quantitative emphasis.
· 3+ years of quantitative analysis experience in education or a related field
· Hands on Tableau, R, SPSS, or similar applications
· Demonstrated ability to create effective and impactful data visualizations
· Able to organize things well with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
· A positive, proactive, team-player attitude
· Preferred to have : Experience with predictive analytics—specifically, machine learning methods and tools, Python experience, SQL coding experience
Our Benefits
The pay range for this position is between 80-100k annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act.
