Data and analytics are critical to our future growth at ezCater. As a Lead Technical Analyst (Financial Analytics), you will be the lead analyst owning our finance and sales analytics across a growing Series D startup, partnering closely with our CFO, Chief Demand Officer, other analysts and Data Scientists and our Sales & Finance teams to deliver powerful and rapid insights into our financial business performance based on analyses, reports, and models.  The ideal candidate will be a strong critical thinker, comfortable working both collaboratively and individually on multiple, high-impact projects while tackling complex analytical challenges. 

What you'll do:

    • Own and develop the strategic analyses that inform our business priorities. Unlock insights about our transactional data and the customer-driven financial outcomes to our business, guiding the business through action-oriented business insights and recommendations.
    • Develop scalable analytic processes, methods, and self-service tools to ensure our FP&A team can leverage data to make rapid decisions. 
    • As an individual contributor, be the subject matter expert for data, analytics, and root cause analysis for all of our financial data and analytics; advance innovation and improvements to the analytics techniques, approaches, and processes used across the company.
    • Lead the analytic strategy for broad, unstructured problems critical to our financials while driving forward deliverables that address fundamental and ambiguous business questions.
    • Partner with the various owners of the transactional data systems and other source systems to own the documentation and requirements for financial data. Working with Data Engineering, ensure that data is appropriately sourced, captured, transported, transformed, and secured in the financial systems that drive our external financial reporting requirements. Identify opportunities to drive automation. 
    • Use Financial Planning & Analysis analytics approaches and modeling to explain how organizational activities translate to financial impact 

What you have:

    • Have 5+ years experience in a relevant field, such as analytics or data science, performing quantitative and technical analysis, ideally with experience in B2B, SaaS, marketplace or e-commerce environments.
    • Experience proactively identifying areas where analytical efforts can add strong business value and setting the analytics roadmap.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in explaining complex analysis to stakeholders at all levels of the organization and translating conclusions into straightforward, actionable business recommendations and strategic direction.
    • Self-directed and demonstrated ability to define, prioritize, and direct analytics initiatives
    • Expert proficiency in SQL.
    • Experience with statistical modeling tools (R, Python) is a plus.
    • Expert conducting quantitative analyses on with large, complex data sets using modern data exploration and visualization software (e.g. Snowflake, Looker, Tableau, Google Data Studio, PowerBI)
    • Be able to own and deliver projects/programs both on your own and as a member of a broader team.
The national cash compensation range for this role is $110,000 - $150,000*  per year.
