We began by revolutionizing rent — Americans’ largest recurring bill. Flex enables its users to pay rent and bills throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances. Flex's Payroll Analyst will be responsible for reviewing payroll data and documents for inefficiencies and errors, checking whether all amounts are accurate, and ensuring that payments are made on time. You’ll help us maintain an efficient payroll process for both employees and contractors that complies with all federal and state regulations.
Our rapid growth means that each payroll cycle is unique. In order to be successful in this role, strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills are required.
What you'll do:
- Process bi-monthly payroll for US employees through our PEO
- Process weekly contractor payments for hourly US-based support staff
- Manage payment of international full-time contractor invoices
- Respond to and resolve payroll related questions
- Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records
- Prepare monthly payroll-related journal entries
- Manage employee expense reimbursements
- Analyze compensation-related data including wages and bonuses
- Design, document and implement procedures to streamline payroll processes
- Stay up-to-date on state and federal payroll and tax laws
- Manage payment calendars for the fiscal year
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Analyst, Payroll Coordinator or similar role
- Experience in a dynamic, high-growth environment
- Familiarity using Excel and spreadsheets
- Excellent analytical skills
- The ability to work under tight deadlines
- Degree in Human Resources Management, Accounting or relevant field desired
