Flex is an early-stage, remote-first FinTech startup that is bringing flexible payments to recurring bills. It’s hard to believe that it’s 2022 and you’re still not able to choose when you pay your bills. Flex is here to change that! Flex is a multi-bill platform. We began by revolutionizing rent — Americans’ largest recurring bill. We enable our users to pay rent and bills throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances. With Flex, everybody can better manage their bills and budget. After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we plan to scale to 300 team members in 2022. Will you be a part of the team?

Data Analysts at flex are dedicated to one or more problem domains; this posting is focused on product analytics, with an emphasis on new user onboarding and outcomes. This Analyst will partner closely with the Product teams to identify areas of opportunity and risk within the app and onboarding experience which impact growth of our core metrics. They will be an IC reporting to the Director of Analytics, partnering with the Directors of Product. They will help define goals for these departments, turn hypotheses into tests and increase the availability of product based metrics across the company for use in other projects.

To support the statement “everyone is better for having worked at Flex”, the Analytics team’s mission reads: “We believe everyone is better for having equitable access to data”. Our analysts share their excitement about data with their stakeholders and strive to increase the learning opportunities and data fluency of all our peers. By growing better together, both parties will improve the skills they need for success in their careers wherever it takes them.

As an early stage company, this is an opportunity to have a formative impact on how the business consumes and interacts with data at all levels. The candidate will get to work with a best in class tech stack (Snowflake/GBQ, DBT, Tableau) and shape their departmental strategy as a key stakeholder. This is an excellent opportunity for any candidate looking to grow their scope of ownership in the analytics space.

Marketing represents the top of funnel for user acquisition, but in the analytics world Marketing data is also the most complex: anonymous data points, complex tech stacks, and ambiguous scoring and attribution techniques leave a lot for an analyst to unravel. This role will partner closely with data engineering, marketing and product to overcome these technical hurdles so that the business can obtain a clear view of what drives growth at Flex.

An Analyst that succeeds in this role will quickly gain the trust of their stakeholders and be able to pinpoint areas of improvement or projects to identify them in their first few months. They should quickly be able to use and query our most common core data tables and be able to breakdown the root inputs of OKR metrics for their department.

They will automate as much of their work as possible, leaving time for quality and deeper data research.
