The Senior Finance Analyst (Offer Management) role is responsible for partnering with Pearson Online Learning Services (POLS) Finance and business teams to evaluate new business opportunities in North America. These opportunities span across POLS’ existing business model focused on degree programs as well as new business models related to providing platforms and non-degree content through our academic partners. The Senior Analyst will coordinate with a variety of stakeholders to build P&L forecast models capturing key assumptions and insights that lead directly to investment decisions. This position will also support the Business Development team’s segmentation and prospecting activities.
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties and
responsibilities may be assigned.
Take a primary role in pro forma model development by leveraging historical financial and KPI data to build full P&L forecasts capturing revenue and cost.
Work with stakeholders across the business teams to refine assumptions and bake-in qualitative considerations, develop scenarios and sensitivity analyses, and communicate results.
Help determine appropriate deal structure, service mix, pricing and cost-to-deliver.
Evaluate modeling outputs against investment hurdles and influence decisions around deal approval.
Develop financial models for business opportunities outside of our traditional focus on degree programs. This will include working with the team on market research, strategy formation and exploration of new revenue models and cost structures.
Improve the robustness of our forecasting through the integration of multivariable regression analysis and other statistical analysis/tools.
Partner with the Data/Analytics team to streamline and automate the financial and KPI data that is available and accessible for use by the deal teams.
Work with Business Development to improve our new business pipeline segmentation and prospecting.
Proactively identify and recommend ways to improve offer management business processes with the goals of reducing cycle time, improving decision quality, expanding the Offer Management team’s reach and improving the Business Development team’s capacity.
5+ years of Finance Business Partnering, Deal Desk and/or Sales Operations
Superior experience with building detailed financial models supported by operational KPIs
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
A proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional and geographically-dispersed teams
Demonstrated project management experience or participation in process improvement efforts
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Tableau and fluency with R, SQL or Python. Experience with Oracle and Salesforce a plus. A demonstrated ability to learn new tools and extract data from multiple systems and data sources
Must be a self-starter and detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
Minimum full-time salary range is between $100,000.00 - $110,000.00
