Required Skills

  • MS or PhD in a quantitative field (CS, EE statistics, math, data science)

  • At least 5 years professional experience as a software engineer or data scientist

  • Experience in natural language processing (NLP)

  • Strong coding & analytics skills including proficiency in python and Linux

  • Track record of producing machine learning models and production infrastructure at scale

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with colleagues of varying technical and non-technical abilities

  • Passionate about agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and systematic experimentation

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Pearson provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $135k -145k. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program, and information on benefits offered is here.
