Sr. Data Visualization Reporting Analyst

Position Summary:
The Sr. Data Visualization Reporting Analyst will report to the Director of Martech, Database and Reporting and will be responsible for supporting the Family Analytics team in the development, design and implementation of automation reports and visualizations that facilitate business understanding, insight and decision-making. The Sr Analyst will leverage existing tools and technologies and work with large data sets to create reports and dashboards while harboring excellent project management skills. In this role, the candidate will have the opportunity to leverage a variety of data sources, transforming and blending them to create visually compelling and impactful dashboards to cross-functional partners and senior leadership. The candidate will have the opportunity to leverage industry standard data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) but will also be expected to push the envelope with new data visualization technologies. The Sr. Analyst will serve as the department subject-matter expert for visualization and also inform and help evolve the technology roadmap as it relates to visualization technologies, products and platforms.
Responsibilities:
Synthesize and translate internal and external business data needs into the development and implementation of creative, enticing, clear and effective solutions with BI tools like Tableau and Microsoft Power BI.
Design and develop visual data solutions end-to-end, from gathering requirements to partnering with internal data owners to test and implement
Build automated, actionable and accurate reports and dashboards that are easy to understand and maintain/modify them to meet business requirements.
Build and maintain automations to ensure we can understand and act on business performance accurately, scalable, with low latency, and minimal manual upkeep
Understand top initiatives of the company, ideate on reporting needs and create the reporting/visualization solutions to meet those initiatives.
Perform data analysis, data profiling, SQL coding/query tuning, data modeling, and data validation.
Provide expertise on Tableau functionality to the team and help increase the team’s knowledge with the tool.
Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design, by accessing multiple data resources residing in data warehouses and transactional data environments/sources.
Stay abreast of the visualization space and recommend new tools or processes that would help us scale in the future

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years’ experience in analytical environments with emphasis on dashboarding and visualization.
Advanced experience with the most current data visualization concepts and tools.
Experience blending and preparing disparate data sources using SQL, SAS, R or other programming languages.
Development experience in cloud based platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and scripting language (PHP, Python, Perl, etc.) preferred
Advanced Tableau proficiency - 4 years with Tableau and Tableau Server experience
Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and understand how best to visualize.
Organized, detail-oriented, QA-focused
Prior knowledge of the marketing ecosystem, understanding of marketing/media metrics, and analytical products offered as a service is preferred
Experience with other data visualization/reporting solutions and data management/reporting solutions will be highly valued
