Data and analytics are critical to our future growth at ezCater. As a Sr. Analyst for Product, you will leverage our rich data asset to identify and drive new growth opportunities, all while partnering closely with other Data/Analytics, Product Management, and Engineering colleagues.  The ideal candidate will be a strong critical thinker, able to tackle complex analytical challenges, and comfortable working across a broad array of advanced analytics techniques while being a trusted partner to a talented, collaborative peer group.

What You'll Do:

    • Proactively generate insights on customer behavior and use of our products, to understand trends and relationships in product and business metrics while highlighting potential growth opportunities for the business
    • Tell the story of customer behavior through data-driven analysis, including a combination of ad hoc analyses, defining KPIs, dashboard & report building, A/B test experimentation, and proactive insight generation and modeling
    • Partner with senior leaders across the company to answer complex business problems including leveraging deep-dive advanced statistical and Data Science analysis  (e.g., clustering models, classification, etc)
    • Conduct rigorous analysis, models, and assessments to answer key business questions, e.g. evaluating the impact of sort and search strategies, creating behavior-based customer segmentations, or identifying product features correlated to customer profitability and loyalty
    • Be a champion of data and analytics in decision making, acting as a subject matter expert for data, analytics, and testing for your area
    • Develop data visualizations, including reports, dashboards, and analyses to democratize data access and insights in a digestible manner while enabling self-service by partners
    • Conduct business and sales analytics approaches to understand how customer behavior and product features translate to financial impact, as well as applying scenario planning, modeling, and sensitivity analysis

What You Have:

    • Have 3+ years experience in a relevant field, such as analytics or data science, performing quantitative and technical analysis, ideally with experience in marketplace or e-commerce environments
    • Be able to explain complex analysis to stakeholders at all levels of the organization and translate conclusions into straightforward and actionable business terms.
    • Expert proficiency in SQL and some experience with modeling tools (R, Python) and common approaches (e.g. Random Forest, Gradient Boosting and Logistic Regression) 
    • Experience with modern data exploration tools (e.g. Snowflake, Looker, Tableau, Google Data Studio, PowerBI)
    • Strong written and verbal communication: able to explain complex analyses, and translate conclusions into straightforward and actionable business terms
    • Be able to own and deliver projects/programs both on your own and as a member of a broader team
    • Experience conducting quantitative analyses on large and complex data sets
    • Experience in leveraging modeling algorithms to derive business insights
    • Experience with experimental test design such as A/B testing
    • Experience working with common product analytics tools (Heap, Google Analytics, Amplitude, etc.) is a plus
    • Experience in 2-sided marketplaces for both B2C and B2B customers is a plus
The national cash compensation range for this role is $80,000 - $125,000* per year

*Please note: Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise and region & may vary from the amount above. This range does not represent additional compensation benefits (such as equity, 401K or medical, dental or vision insurance).
