The Position:

GameChanger is looking to add a Senior Analytics Engineer to our Core Data Engineering team. In this role, you will wrangle both 1st party and 3rd party data, own architecting our data foundation for reporting, analysis, and experimentation, and be a crucial partner in accelerating our advertiser growth and understanding paid marketing efforts. Using Python, SQL, and DBT, you will optimize and transform data from warehouse tables into critical self-serve data artifacts that power impactful analytic use cases (e.g. metrics, dashboards) and empower data consumers across the company.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own architecting, optimizing, and transforming marketing- and ad-centric data models in DBT for flexible analysis by Data Analysts / Scientists and self-service by business stakeholders.

  • Design data solutions to ensure data integrity throughout our pipelines, and support QA of our reports.

  • Rapidly deliver on new concepts through prototyping that can be presented for feedback and iteration.

  • Advance automation efforts that help the team spend less time validating data, and more time analyzing it.

  • Apply software engineering best practices like version control and continuous integration to the analytics code base.

  • Work closely with our Data Engineers, Analysts, Data Scientists, Marketing and Ads teams to build foundational models around attribution, click-through rates, A/B testing, funnels and surveys.

  • Support cross functional core metrics and data dependencies with leadership visibility.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of experience in the Marketing / Ads Data space as an analyst, engineer, or equivalent.

  • Hands-on experience working with digital marketing, social, and advertising technologies, such as Google Marketing Platform, Google Ad Manager, Social Ad Managers, MMPs (AppsFlyer), and Site Analytics tools (Google Analytics).

  • Hands-on experience working with data from platforms such as Braze, Salesforce, Hubspot.

  • Understanding of the digital media ecosystem and subscription business model.

  • Ability to write complex SQL, ad-hoc data pipelines, and experience in using Python for data analysis.

  • Hands on experience implementing modern data modeling strategies with DBT, including validating data, building macros, and selecting optimal materialization.

  • Comfort working in an agile, iterative environment and ability to thrive in a fully remote organization.

  • Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate complex business activities, technical requirements, and recommendations amongst cross-functional stakeholders.

Experience:

  • Our data tech stack: Github, Airflow, Github Actions, AWS, Hubspot, Braze, Fivetran, DBT, Salesforce, Snowflake, BigQuery, Looker, Hex (or equivalents).

  • Nice to have: Experience with building and maintaining semantic layers and self-service technologies (e.g., Looker) for non-technical end-users.

The target salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $190,000. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes incentive, equity, and benefits for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all teammate pay regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay.
