The Community Team is the first line of strategic partnership and support for state parties, Democratic campaigns up and down the ballot, and key ecosystem partners.

The Democratic National Committee is seeking a Senior Community Analyst to support the DNC Tech Team and Democrats up and down the ballot by providing best in class support to users and partnering with the Community Director to develop resources, and processes to increase the breadth and impact of these resources.

Responsibilities

    • Represent political data and technology on the front lines. This team is responsible for facilitating an insightful feedback loop between us and our community of users, in addition to ensuring our tools and products are well documented and utilized.
    • Work closely with internal DNC teams to support Presidential campaigns and the 2024 National Coordinated Campaign, including attending regular meetings and administering VAN and Phoenix instances.
    • Collaborate with the Community Director to maintain a regular schedule of trainings on complex technical concepts and tools to users with a wide range of technical expertise, and facilitate virtual (and occasional in-person) trainings.
    • Manage relationships and engage with key partners and stakeholders (e.g., vendors, other DNC departments) on behalf of the Community Team and our users.
    • Manage Community Team interns as necessary
    • Attend offsite meetings and conferences with state party staff and partners as needed
    • Monitor tickets in the tech-community@dnc.org queue and work with Community Analysts to ensure tickets are responded to, tagged, and closed in a timely manner.
    • Build collaborative relationships with state party data staff, including holding regular 1:1s, troubleshooting voter file issues, and responding to and advocating for state party needs.
    • Partner with our product team on training, communication, and rollout of new features and datasets for our data warehouse and tech products.
    • Maintain up-to-date and relevant documentation of DNC tech and data products and processes, including creating new content as necessary.
    • Collaborate with other Community Analysts and the Community Director to support each other in day-to-day work and drive long-term projects.
    • Participate in a Community on call rotation to support users and stakeholders outside of business hours, as needed, and more regularly in even years.
    • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

Qualifications

    • Political campaign or state party experience
    • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and demands
    • Demonstrated initiative-taking to identify problems and propose solutions
    • Proven ability to independently manage user support requests and stated SLAs with little oversight.
    • Experience in technical user or client-facing roles
    • Expertise with VoteBuilder
    • Proficient with SQL and Google BigQuery
    • Experience with Google Data Studio, Tableau, or other data visualization platforms, is a plus
The Senior Community Analyst position will require travel, which could be up to 15% of the time.

The starting salary for the Senior Community Analyst position is $97,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
